With the Minecraft 1.21 update, players can finally bring to life the long-awaited Copper Golem — an adorable, mechanical helper that automates chest sorting using a brand-new item: the Copper Chest.
Creating a Copper Golem is simple and familiar to Minecraft veterans. Just stack a Copper Block and place a Carved Pumpkin on top — much like how you’d summon an Iron Golem or Snow Golem. The moment it's built, it drops a Copper Chest and begins its work.
Required Materials: 1 Carved Pumpkin, 1 Copper Block
Spawns: In the Overworld (manually built by the player)

The Copper Golem is a passive helper mob designed to organize your storage system. Once it’s spawned, it starts looking for nearby chests to sort:
When defeated (not recommended — it's too cute), it drops 1–3 Copper Ingots.
The Copper Chest is a unique storage block introduced with the Copper Golem. It functions like a standard chest but comes with special behavior:
Copper Chests make sorting easier and add visual personality to your base layout.
In order to obtain Copper Chest its possible to do this in two ways, as mentioned before - getting from a Copper Golem or crafting it using a crafting table.
Required Materials: 8 Copper Ingots, 1 Chest

Alongside the Copper Golem, the update adds a full tier of Copper Gear:

The Copper Golem was originally introduced as a mob vote candidate, and now it’s here with a major upgrade. It offers a more approachable way to sort items without relying on complex redstone. Combined with Copper Chests and tools, it gives copper a whole new purpose in the Minecraft world.
Bring charm, utility, and shiny copper vibes into your base with the Copper Golem. Start building and let your golem take over the sorting!
